Wang-Dietz Duo

David Dietz (cello), and Tong Wang (piano) are a versatile duo, performing in settings ranging from concert halls to kindergarten classrooms. Since their first collaborations together at the Windwood Music Festival in 2023, they have been heard in many concerts across North America including in Ottawa, Montreal, Houston, and Banff, Alberta.

In Spring 2025, the Wang-Dietz Duo will embark on a tour across China combining ethnomusicology research, public masterclasses, and recital performances. This tour, supported by the Canda Council for the Arts, features the international premiere of Alice Ping Yee Ho’s Canada Council commissioned work, as well as compositions by Fazil Say, Fuhong Shi, and a new commission by Wendy Lee. The artists will collaborate with prestigious institutions including the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing and the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
